Our services are accessible to you
From January 1st, 2020, Think Good Psychology is offering Skype sessions on Fridays at a lower fee. Speak to your psychologist to find out more
You do not need to have a referral to see a psychologist. However a referral from your General Practitioner may be preferable as you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate*.
A Medicare rebate means that Medicare will cover $86.15 per session for 10 sessions per year.
$155 per session ($68.85 out of pocket with Medicare rebate)
$135 concession fee per session ($48.85 out of pocket with Medicare rebate)
WorkCover and private health insurance also accepted
Sessions can be paid via cash, credit card, or EFTPOS, on the day of appointment.
Think good psychology endeavours to ensure that individuals have access to psychological care, and therefore can reduce the gap fee upon assessment of each individual.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration and are currently available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays (before and after-hours appointments available). Skype sessions are now available on Fridays.
Cancellation policy:
Avoid possible cancellation fees ($50) by providing 24-hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling appointments.
*Medicare rebate:
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate ($86.15) for your sessions if you are an Australian citizen/resident, and you are experiencing mental health difficulties. This can be provided by a referral from a GP or psychiatrist, under a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows 10 sessions per calendar year.
You may also be eligible for a rebate under private health insurance, and the amount will depend on your cover (not in addition to Medicare).
